Dr. Gengxiang Wang joined the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology as a tenured Associate Professor (Ph.D. advisor) in June 2022. In 2024, he was awarded the title of “Sanqin Talent” in Shaanxi Province. In 2023, he received the EU Marie Curie Fellowship. From June 2020 to May 2022, he worked as a Boya Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Peking University, conducting research on impact dynamics. From September 2015 to September 2017, he was a joint Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, focusing on modeling and simulation of flexible multibody systems.
His main research areas include the dynamic modeling and simulation of flexible multibody systems, covering topics such as parallel mechanism dynamics and type synthesis, contact and collision, flexible deformation, wear prediction, and the development of 3D printing equipment. He has led or participated in seven research projects, including the General and Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published over 30 papers in renowned journals, including Chaos, Solitons and Fractals, Mechanical System and Signal Processing, International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, Mechanism and Machine Theory, Applied Mathematical Modelling, ASME Journal of Mechanical and Robotics, Journal of Sound and Vibration, as well as Chinese Journal of Mechanics and Journal of Mechanical Engineering (29 as first author, 10 in top-tier Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) journals). He has 21 SCI-indexed papers and 8 EI-indexed papers, including two review articles published in Chinese Journal of Mechanics in 2015 and 2022. He is the first inventor on 1 international invention patent, 12 national invention patents, and 4 utility model patents.
In 2018, he received the Second Prize of Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award (second place). In December 2019, he won the Shaanxi Provincial Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, and in September 2021, he was honored with the Award for Highly Cited Academic Papers in Beijing. He serves as a guest editor for the journal Actuators.
王庚祥博士,2022年6月以长聘副教授入职西安建筑科技大学机电工程学院(博士生导师),2024年获陕西省“三秦英才”人才称号,2023年获得欧盟玛丽•居里学者基金,2020年06月至2022年05月以博雅博士后入职北京大学工学院航空航天系从事冲击动力学。 2015年09月至2017年9月以联合培养博士生赴伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校联培从事柔性多体系统的建模与仿真计算(合作导师:Ahmed A. Shabana)。主要研究方向为柔性多体系统动力学建模与仿真,包括并联机构动力学建模与型综合、接触碰撞、柔性变形、磨损预测与3D打印设备开发等方面的研究,主持/参与国家自然科学基金面上与重点项目等7项课题;已在Chaos, Solitons and Fractals, Mechanical System and Signal Processing, International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, Mechanism and Machine Theory, Applied Mathematical Modelling, ASME Journal of Mechanical and Robotics, Journal of Sound and Vibration, 力学学报与机械工程学报等国内外著名期刊发表文章30余篇(一作/29篇,中科院Top 一区10篇),SCI检索论文21篇,EI检索论文8篇,其中包括2篇分别于2015年和2022年发表于力学学报的综述文章;以第一发明人授权1项国际发明专利,12项国家发明专利与4项实用新型专利。2018年获得陕西省科学技术二等奖(排名第二),2019年12月获得陕西省优秀博士论文,2021年9月获得北京地区广受关注学术论文奖。担任Actuators期刊的客座主编。
