Dr. Xiaoling Zhou obtained her Ph.D. from the Center for High Pressure Science and Technology Advanced Research (HPSTAR) in 2017. She has received the “ALS Doctoral Fellowship in Residence” award supported by the Advanced Light Source of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in 2015-2017 and worked on the high pressure science combined with synchrotron-based X-ray at ALS. From 2017 to 2020 Dr. Zhou has worked in the University of Utah (also supported by LBNL) and Princeton University before she joined in HIT in 2020. Dr. Zhou worked on high pressure physics and high pressure mechanics and her research interests include nanomaterials, alloys and minerals. She has published on top journals such as Nature and Physical Review Letters and her research has been intensively reported by Chinese media including “Chinese Science News”“Guangming Daily” and US ScienceDaily, US Department of Energy and French magazine “TECHNIQUES”, etc.
