Chen Zhenlei, born in 1963, professor, doctoral supervisor, PhD in engineering at the University of Illinoi,s USA, a distinguished expert of the National "Thousand Talents Program", a distinguished expert of the "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Talents" of Jiangsu Province, and a distinguished expert of the "Thousand Talents Program" of Zhejiang Province. He is now the director of the High end Manufacturing Simulation and Testing Research Institute of Ningbo University, and once served as the senior engineer of the Engine Business Department of Ford Motor Company, the technical director of Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., the vice president of the Engine Research Institute, and the deputy director of the Test and Inspection Center, key special evaluation experts of in "Ten Thousand Talents Plan".

Research field: high-end manufacturing CAE simulation and test detection research in engines, excavators, precision machine tools, intelligent sewage treatment tanks, etc. The main research directions include computer simulation and test detection of strength and fatigue, flow field and performance, vibration and noise of construction machinery, solutions for engineering problem quality improvement and cost control, and solutions for energy conservation and emission reduction of construction machinery.

Research projects and achievements: presided over 7 key projects including Jiangsu Industrial Support Plan, Zhejiang Public Welfare Fund, Zhejiang Engineering Research Center, and Ningbo "Science and Technology Innovation 2025" major special project. In terms of engineering projects, we have cooperated with famous enterprises such as Sany Heavy Machinery, Sany Heavy Lift, Sany Powertrain engineering, Yuchai Power, Liugong Group, Shandong Juming, Ningbo Fangtai, Jinshang Machine Tool, Tiansheng Seal, Longkou Zhongyu, etc. Since 2017, he has published 41 papers in Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, Journal of Aerospace Engineering and other journals, including 14 SCI papers.
