Du Chengbin (1965-), male, Ph.D, professor, doctoral supervisor. In 1993, he graduated from the Department of Engineering Mechanics of Hohai University with a PhD degree in hydraulic structure engineering. In the same year, he stayed in the University and engaged in teaching and scientific research of structural mechanics. He has been to Princeton University, Durham University and University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany as a visiting scholar or senior visiting scholar supported by China Scholarship Council. He has been engaged in the research and development of magnetorheological smart materials and their devices, shear thickening materials and energy dissipation devices for a long time. He has a series of innovative achievements in the preparation of high-performance magnetorheological fluids, damping devices and high-performance shear thickening materials. He is the chief professor of core course "Vibration Mechanics"-Jiangsu brand major for Engineering Mechanics in Hohai University, and the chief scientist of "Engineering Structure Disaster and Control" in 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center of "Major Infrastructure Security" in Jiangsu Province.
