Dr. Zhang obtained his Ph.D. from Southeast University, China in 2016, after two years of training at Prof. Victor Li’s group at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2013-15). During 2016~2020, Dr. Zhang worked at Chongqing University, China as an assistant/associate professor. He also has the work experience of being research fellow at Nanyang Technological University, American University of Sharjah, and Washington State University, respectively. Dr. Zhang’s principal research area involves the ECC materials, self-healing concrete, and micromechanical modeling of construction materials, etc. Dr. Zhang has rich research, teaching & student-supervising experience, and has served as PI on seven externally-funded research projects, two of which were granted from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) , and co-PI on one research project. He has published more than 30 peer reviewed papers in international journals including CCR, CCC, CBM and attended international conference to communicate with worldwide scholars.
