Prof. Guoxin Cao,Tongji University,China

Guoxin Cao is currently a professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics at Tongji University (China). After receiving his Ph.D from Clemson University (USA) in 2004, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Columbia University from 2004 to 2008, a research assistant professor in University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2008–2010, and then an associate professor in Peking University from 2010–2017. He is the recipient of China Top Cited Author Award (2018) from IOP Publishing. He has published more than 80 scientific papers, with more than 4200 citations and an h-index of 37 (Google Scholar). His scientific interests have been focused on mechanical behavior of advanced structures and materials, nanomechanics, multiscale simulations of mechanical behavior of low-dimensional materials, and nanoporous energy adsorption/damping systems.
