He is the vice president of the School of Mechanics and Architectural Engineering of Jinan University, the director of the Institute of Applied Mechanics, the member of the Teaching Guidance Sub-committee of Civil Engineering of the Ministry of Education, the executive deputy director/academic committee member of the key laboratory of the Ministry of Education of "Major Engineering Disasters and Control", the doctoral tutor of engineering mechanics, the director of chinese society of theoretical and applied mechanics, the executive director of China Instrumentation Society, and the former director of China Composite Materials Society (2008-2013).
