He is mainly engaged in research in the fields of mechanism dynamics and simulation technology, safety and detonation control technology, etc. He worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia, on the topics of smart materials and smart structures from 2016 to 2017. He has presided over and participated in one key project of National Defense 173 Basic Strengthening Program, two national high-tech engineering projects, three national defense pre-research projects in the 11th Five-Year Plan and 12th Five-Year Plan, one project of Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, one project of Science and Technology Development Fund of Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and more than 20 projects of enterprises.
